The 20 Cancer Symptoms Women Are Most Likely To Ignore

Women should not only relay on routine tests for cancer, but should carefully listen to what their body says and if they notice something different, or odd, should immediately consult a doctor, do not ignore these symptoms:

  • Wheezing and shortness of breath – patients who have lung cancer are unable to catch breath.
  • Chronic cough and chest pain – leukemia and lung tumor have these symptoms. Lung cancer patients have chest pain which reaches the shoulders or spread down their arm.
  • Frequent fever and infections – these are the common signs of leukemia, or blood cell cancer which starts in bone marrow what produces abnormal white blood cells affecting the ability of human body fight infections.
  • Difficulty in swallowing – this is connected to throat cancer, or is the first sign of lung cancer.
  • Swollen lymph nodes or lumps in the neck, groin, or underarm – this is often a sign of cancer.
  • Excessive bruising – this indicates that there is something abnormal happening with the platelets and red blood cells, often it is a sign of leukemia because the red blood cells become overcrowded by leukemia cells that impairs the ability of human body to carry oxygen and clot.
  • Weakness and fatigue – if you feel exhausted without any particular explanation and if it doesn’t change even when you sleep, pay attention and consult a doctor.
  • Bloating and abdominal weight gain – this is a symptom in ovarian cancer, it appears suddenly and continues for a longer period of time.
  • Feeling full and being unable to eat – this is an ovarian cancer symptom.
  • Pelvic and abdominal pain – pain and cramps go in combination with bloating which signal ovarian cancer, or leukemia that occurs due to enlarged spleen.
  • Rectal bleeding or bloody stool – this is a sign of colorectal cancer.
  • Unexplained weight loss – it is a signal of colon, some other kind of digestive cancer, liver cancer which affects the body’s ability to remove waste.
  • Upset stomach and stomachache – this may be a sign of colorectal cancer.
  • Red, sore, swollen breast – this is a symptom of breast cancer.
  • Nipple changes – flatten, inverted, or turned sideways nipples may indicate breast cancer.
  • Unusually heavy and painful periods and bleeding between periods – this is a symptom of endometrial cancer.
  • Swelling of facial features – this appears in lung cancer followed by puffiness, redness, and swelling because small cells of lung tumor block the blood vessels in the chest without letting the blood flow from the head and face.
  • Sore and skin lump which doesn’t heal forms a crust and bleeds – this is a symptom of skin cancer.
  • Changes in nails – this indicates skin cancer (black dots under nails), lung cancer (enlargement of the finger ends and nails which go down over the tips), and liver cancer (pale and white nails).
  • Back pain or pain in lower right side – this is a signal of liver cancer and breast cancer and it triggered by the pressure tumor applies backward into the chest.
